The head of the department of Mass communication, Mr Obafemi Oderinde have appealed to the management of the kwara State polytechnic to put in place all the necessary things that eill make it possible for his department to commence a higher national diploma programme soon.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with campus echoes reporter's Oderinde said the demand bacem very imperative considering the fact that the department was almost a decade old.
Having run the national diploma programme for years, the head of the department said it was time his department began a HND programme in Mass communication.
According to him, the national diploma graduates of his studying department were always subjected to unhold hardship in many other polytechnic at which they were studying for thier higher national diploma.
" I feel bad that our student are leaving the school for other polytechnics within the country. That is why I am pleading with the management of the polytechnic to speed up the process of commencing higher national diploma in Mass communication soon", he said.
On some of the problem his department was facing, Oderinde identified some of them as lack of spacious classrooms, insufficient furniture, aming other things.
We need lecture rooms that can accommodate all out student. This is because for now we have group some of them into two. If we had good classroom, there would not be any need for that, he said, the HI. O.D advised his student to pay adequate attention to thier studies and shun activities that could thier dreams in life.
