The institute of environment studies is in need of more beffitting building, the Director of the institute , Mr owolabi kayode Micheal, has said.
Mr owolabi, while making the passionate appeal in an interview said, the buildings in his institute could no longer cope with the population of his student.
According to him, our population has imcrease i the last few years. unlike before when we uise to have between 10 to 20 student in most of our department, the population of the student has increased greatly.
our student populatin has increased over the years. also a new course has been introduced which is transport planning management and the facilities have remained the same he said.
speaking on the issue of enviromental challenges facing the polytehnic, he identified some of them as erosion unavailability of toilet facilitids, unavalability of waste disposal of refus, indiscriminately around the campus.
\he commende the effort of his institute by trying to stttem the tide of erosion within his institute, revealing that cross bar were constructed by his institute to control the erosion threatening to bring down some buildings within and around his institute.
Owolabi warned the staff of the polytechnic against indiscriminate dumping of refuse within and around the campus and called on the polytechnic to provide waste bins in all the institute.
